A playful interpretation of typical cabinet drawers informed the functionality of the drawer watch case. The watch case is made out of 3D printed black and gray MJF plastic PA12. The inner housing (gray color) that holds the watch movement slides into the outer shell (black color).This revolutionary horizontal watch case assembly method, non-existing in the current horology market, was inspired by the sliding motion of opening a typical cabinet drawer. This assembly method allows for simplified case opening process compared to conventional watches. No special watch making tools are required to open the case an replace the battery.
